Ever since I was young, I’ve kept a close correspondence with my cousin, Ida, between the islands of the Philippines. Later on, my list of correspondence grew (globally) as well as my taste for beautiful stationery… so much so that I became a print-based graphic artist. With this came designing paper goods and favors for family and friends.
In 2012, I got a job at Paper Source in Santa Monica that made me certain my medium as an artist is undeniably paper.
It seems my affair with paper has come into full circle that conceiving the brand Letter Parade was inevitable.
Now I dedicate most of my time designing an array of paper collection and enjoying many sunny days with my husband, Dan in West Los Angeles, California. And yes, still very much writing letters on my free time.

Kidlat’s works consist of stories told with images that evoke the familiar yet mashed up with multiple layers of emotions which result in dreamlike tonality. He relies on the vibrancy of skin ink on paper to lend an uplifting note to our collection of greeting cards.
